I've read the "no, never" responses for a while before replying, and I'll
have to admit that for ST1 I did play through all the way, but only four
times.

The first time was my initial play, and I finished with Kouran (doing
nothingto enhance points)- as a matter of fact, I never used Oogami's
"Kabau" feature even once.

However, subsequent times I DID play the top three, played through another
time to juggle the others to the top, then got their endings. My daughter
played once through as well (and positioned Iris).

While some people will say this is "cheating", let's face it- these girls
aren't real!! Even though guilt is elicited and emotional pseudo-attachments
can indeed form, the Hanagumi members don't really care if they're jilted in
subsequent plays or not. <g>

Besides, there's a LOT of fun and education to be obtained by trying the
following things:

At the beginning of episode 8, ST: 1. Refuse your primary girl's invitation
to the shrine festival. 2. Accept the girl's invitation or suggestion (which
will make her happy) then go ask somebody else and leave with _that_ girl.
3. Ask one of the bottom 3.

I've always enjoyed the responses of the "other two" when asked... showing
their surprise and almost a "Really? He's asking ME? Wow!" response. And
reactions when the top girl is "jilted" are often well-worth seeing-
Sakura'ssnapped "Ja arimasen!" Iris's wailing, bawling tear-fest (amazing!),
Kanna's snarling tirade... <g>. And too, the absolutely VICIOUS glare you
get to see after you walk out of the door with Heroine 2 or Heroine 3 as
Heroine 1 stands, stood-up and scowling, in the lobby of the
Daiteikokugekijou. You can't say you've "seen it all" unless you've seen
those responses <g>.

And, too, the polite, indifferent refusal of the bottom 3.

Of course, a "Heroine 1" that's groomed to the point where she asks you has
quite different responses and interaction, and you WILL miss at least 4 of
their responses if you don't "groom" an individual to be there at the end of
episode 7.

I've not played the multiple endings of ST 2 yet, but I'm positioned to run
Orihime, Reni, and Kanna (having started- and finished- with Sakura)...
then will come the effort of getting the bottom four into place. Of
course, ST2 also makes "starting over" more fun, since you can pick the
romance you "left off with" and watch their reactions and entrances
change.
