The game is also very similar to a Filipino game called "Pusoy Dos." I
only know how to say it, so the spelling is completely off. I know that
there is a version of the game where the 4 cards reverses the order,
but then again there are versions of the game where you can play poker
hands (straight, flushes, etc).
The rules of the game sort of follow the type that appears with "Koi
Koi" Taisen's Hanafuda. Koi Koi is the modern type of hanafuda and the
winning sets differ somewhat from other variation rules of the game.
When I got my hanafuda cards, I had a hard time playing with my mom, who
knew another way to play.
