Personally, I don't mind. But if there's somebody who doesn't want to see
those messages (speak now or forever hold your peace), I ask that you not
make those announcements. We all know when you're going to be on IRC now,
anyway. :)

Perhaps if you used the same subject every time you made an announcement,
it would be easy for people who don't want to read them to filter them out
with their e-mail programs or just delete them. That seems like a happy
medium.

BTW, if it's useful to anybody, my nick on DALnet is "janporu". The command
"/notify janporu" will tell you whether janporu (or anybody else) is on
DALnet.
