> BVCH-735 Teigeki Kayou Zenshu > This CD has 11 tracks; the theme songs for each character. I have mp3s if > you want to preview. While the CD does have the complete vocal songs from ST 1, it's more than just the individual character's signature songs; In addition to those ("Sakura", "Etude", "Only Man", "Tokyo Teki Kyuujitsu", "Shakunetsu Boogie", "Nayamashi Mambo") there are also the Sumire/Kanna duet "Ai wa Daiya", the Maria/Sakura duet "Ai Yueni", Ayame's "Yuru no Samba", the original version of "Geki! Teikoku Kagekidan" and "Hanasaku Otome". > BVCH-741 Ai Yueni > I think this is a drama CD. If you are curious as to what actually happens > in the plays that the Hanagumi performs, this is probably a good CD to buy. It IS a- sort of - drama CD, but a very enjoyable one- as stated, it's as if you were attending their performance of the play, punctuated by a prelude, interludes, a postlude, and their occasional humorous disasters (like the stage blowing up) during the production . In addition to a cover of the song "Ai Yueni", it also features the common "theater song" duet with Oogami that is present on all the "play" CDs, "Kono yo wa Tanoshii". The song's the same on all the albums, but the main actress differs each time; foe example, Sakura sings it on "Ai Yueni", Iris on "Cinderella", Sumire on "Ai wa Daiya", etc. "Ai wa Daiya", "Cinderella", and- I believe- "Tsubasa" are also available on CD, but I don't have their numbers immediately at hand. > BVCH-743 Kayou Show: Ai Yueni > My guess is that this is a recording of the actual stage performance of Ai > Yueni. Actually, it's the soundtrack of the first live musical, where all the seiyuu perform in character and in costume. All the songs on the first vocal collection are performed in slightly different versions, and it also features a unique, wonderful version of "Kono yo wa Tanoshii" without Akio Suyama singing (even though he's on stage during it). I enjoy both this album and the wonderful live show itself (clips from it are in the "Steam Radio Show" CD set, and the entire musical is available on video/LD). The video of the second live show "Tsubasa" is currently available, as is the soundtrack on CD. > BVCH-2601/2 Jouki Chikuonkan > Like Terrence said, one disc has BGM, one disc is a Mac/Win hybrid CD-ROM. > I think Ming has more info on his page about it. I believe that there are > no vocal songs in this set. This is strictly the instrumental music from Sakura Taisen; fully orchestrated music is on one CD, and the other features the "game music" as generated by the Saturn. The orchestral CD doubles as a CD-Plus ROM containing mecha information and MPEG clips and is compatible with Mac or Windows computers. > MJCA-00030 Sakura Taisen OVA OST > Apparently, songs from the OVAs. BGM, vocal songs, who knows. Were there > any new vocal songs in the OVAs? Actually, this is the entire soundtrack for the OAVs with every new BGM piece (all fully orchestrated and conducted by Kouhei Tanaka, including many favorite BGMs that previously existed only as "game music"), a reiteration of the song "Sakura", and three new songs. The new songs include the "Kanpan Hula Hula" ("Ship Deck Hula Hula"-a somewhat lyrical and whimsical Hawaiian-style song) sung by Oogami [Akio Suyama], the catchy "Omatsuri Dance" ("Festival Dance"-with a Brazilian beat) sung by Sakura [Chisa Yokoyama], and the great, "Stardust"-like ED song "Watashi no Aozora" ("My Blue Sky") sung by Ayame [Ai Orikasa]. Other "Teikoku Kagekidan in Daiteikokukegijou" performances on CD include a comedic version of "King Lear" (TECD 30415) and the Steam Radio production of "Shonen Red" (featuring Kouran as Shonen Red, Maria as the evil Doctor, and Sakura as the hapless girl) (TECD 30410). Two more plays are slated for release, too. --Richard
