I believe these orchestrations are the BGMs of the FMV scenes. That's why they're rather short, and probably why you don't remember them(ie you're too busy watching it instead of listening to it). > And as far as the character themes, they ARE in the game as game music, so > why not add them? Yeah, that's weird. OTOH, Sakura Taisen 2 OST has all the BGMs, except for the mini-game BGM. I don't know what's so hard with fitting in another few mins of music. > If you looked through any of the Game Music retailers, you'd see $40 IS > quite high.
Just to add my 2 cents in. THe reason why the ST OST is priced so "high" is because the first disc is a CD-Extra(ie works on your PC). I don't know the yen price of Sakura Taisen OST, but I know that my Grandia OST 1(2 discs) is 3600 yen, my Grandia OST 2(2 discs) is 3400 yen, and my Sakura Taisen 2 OST(2 disc) is 3100 yen. Remember that 3000 yen is the standard price for CDs, and if you're paying $1-5 more for another disc, that's pretty good. If ST OST is $10-15 more than the average soundtrack, it's more than likely just because it has computer stuff on it. -mp
