Just joined the other day, and it seems a bit quiet, so I thought I'd chime in. Sorry if any of this is old news. I received a copy of the October 22nd Dreamcast Magazine from Japan and within was a bit of a preview of Hanagumi Taisen Columns 2. I'd rate my Japanese reading comprehension at about 50%, and here's what it looks like so far. Seems like the magazine got a demo or a beta copy. Only four characters were selectable ( Sakura, Sumire, Orihime and Leni ), with the rest darkened out. The Cinderella mode has been replaced with Shonen Red mode. A few pictures were shown of losing characters having to settle for the roles of mailbox and scooter. Story mode is still present. There were some screenshots. In what seems to be Sakura's story ( "An Early Afternoon Matter"), screenshots are shown of Oogami hearing a gunshot ( said to himself ), a LIPS choice, and Iris on the ground bleeding somewhere dark ( no joke ). Gameplay seems the same with the addition of the Fire, Wind, Forest, Mountain modes. Under Forest mode, it's no different than before. Under Fire mode, you cannot defend ( clear gems ) but you can save up for a Level 4 attack. You can still get the rainbow gems though. Under Wind mode, you can only build up to Level 2 for both attack and defense, but the meter fills more quickly. Finally, under Mountain mode, it seems like the meter fills more slowly, but fewer gems are received when attacked. I'm not sure yet if the modes can only be chosen when the character is selected or if you can change in mid-game. I'd imagine you would be able to change mid-game, though. That seems to be about it for the important stuff for now. Hope you found this interesting. Orlando
