rather mysterious author, born in Gunma-ken (north of Tokyo), died May 19th, 1910 at the age of 18. "Sakura - Suzuno Juurou Tanpenshuu" (Sakura - Suzuno Juurou Short Story Collection) was published posthumously in 1912 but went out of print after only half a year. In 1993 Hiroi Ohji of Red Company came across Suzuno's Sakura novels while digging through the store room in his parent's house. Sakura Taisen is based (loosely?) on Suzuno's Sakura works.
