On 10/18/99, Sega and Red held an Internet-livecast in Japan titled "Sakura Project 2000", in which the following were officially announced:

Sakura Taisen 3 is planned to be released on the Dreamcast (JP) in Fall of 2000. The official title is "Sakura Taisen 3: ~ PARI wa moeteiruka ~" (Sakura Wars 3: Paris is Burning) and the story introduces a new five-member Hanagumi under the PARIkagekidan (Paris Floral Assault Group).

Sakura Taisen 1 and 2 will be ported to the Dreamcast, with release dates of Spring and Summer 2000 for Sakura Taisen 1 and 2 respectively. These are "Power-up" releases, meaning that they'll be inproved versions of the original Saturn versions: higher-resolution graphics, DC internet-browser support, visual memory submonitor support, puru-puru pack support for vibrating/rumbling action, plus other improvements.

As we already know, "Hanagumi Taisen COLUMNS 2" will be released on the Dreamcast (JP).

It seems there will be one more ST game for the Dreamcast, titled "Oogami Ichirou funtouki" (Record of Oogami Ichirou's Struggle), which seems to be about the Sakura Taisen musical "Red Lizard".

Ending much speculations (but not the debates), there will indeed be a Gameboy release of Sakura Taisen.

"Sakura Taisen Denmaku Kurabu 2" (Sakura Wars Electric Screen Club 2) will be released for PC.
