Dragon Fist

There are four clans in the mountains of China who possess powers ordinary humans do not have because of the blood of magical creatures runs in their veins. The four creatures are the dragon, phoenix, some sort of lizard, and the kirin, which looks somewhat like a flying horse. Those of the White Dragon clan carry what they call a houro, an object that looks like a crystal ball and which seems to hold their power and life. It can be a dark or light color. The main character of the story, Ling Feilong, is the only son of the chief of the White Dragon clan, sent to Japan to live because he killed a human (by accident) and also because most of the clan is spooked by his transparent houro-- an extreme rarity. Conflicts arise when two members of the Kirin try to completely destroy the White Dragon clan as they have the other clans. The manga describes how the survivors of the White Dragon clan were scattered and sep! arat ed from each other and how they try to return to their home in the mountains. The story is written in a serious tone, but there is comedy too. Currently there are ten volumes out.

Character Profiles(taken from volumes 6, 7, and 8) The translations are loose and were done when my knowledge of Japanese still wasn't that great, but I hope they are helpful. On the other hand, it doesn't really give as good a picture of the characters as I'd like, so I added my own comments to each of the characters to supplement them.
