ONDA'S AMBITION
"I will stop him", said Onda with confident. He envied the Trio Kanekishi (Toshi, Kazuhiro, Kenji) and gradually it turned to vengeance. He didn't had a pleasant time as a child, cause of poverty. His dad's company went bankrupt and they were poor. Onda had to steal a soccer shoe from a store once, when he was a small kid, because he had no money. On the day the trio Kanekishi defeated him, Teiko's scout came to him and offered him a future. Until today, Onda is Teiko's number one striker.
Onda was switched with Nakasutji, the right defender. Teiko's attack will not be as sharp without him. A counter attack chance for Kakegawa. Kamiya started off an attack, knowing this is their big chance while Keiko is without their ace striker. Kamiya surrounded by three players. Waited for the perfect timing, and executes his through pass to Kazuhiro. Kazuhiro quickly starts accelerating. Someone chased him behind and It was Onda!!!
Onda dashed his body to Kazuhiro's and that was a challenge sign to Kazuhiro.
"Let me tell you something, soccer is no child's play, Kazuhiro Hiramatsu!", said Onda fiercely.
They both struggle for the ball. Kazuhiro had the advantage of his dribbling skills, and somehow manage to break free from Onda. Onda wouldn't let him go off easily. He slides tackle and intentionally aimed it at Kazuhiro's leg & not the ball!
Kazuhiro quickly evades by throwing his body to the side. Onda didn't intend to aim for Kazuhiro. That was a decoy so Kazuhiro lost his dribble and Onda with a good balance stands his foot up from the sliding stance! And he wins the ball!
"Baseball Sliding" technique.
Onda races to front with confident. Passed to Aso, and continued the pass to Sakaki. Sakaki with a no-look pass to Iwagami. Iwagami saw Onda runs free and kicked the ball to him. Onda, chased the ball, but from behind came Kazuhiro. Kazuhiro was definitely unhappy with what Onda said to him. Both aces were struggling for the ball once again. Kazuhiro extended his feet by leaping with one leg in front. Onda surprised to see him moved so fast. But the situation wasn't good, Kazuhiro lost his balance and the ball will fall to Onda's possesion. Out of the ordinary, Kazuhiro taps his right foot to the ground, and with an amazing flexibility stood up with his both foot. He was doing Onda's baseball sliding technique, again!!!!
Everyone was amazed with Kazuhiro's speed and skill. "Good thing he's in our team!!!", Kenji, who was amused, said.
"Don't make any fast conclusion, my soccer is not a toy, with this we are even.", said Kazuhiro to Onda.
Compliments to Kazuhiro for imitating Onda's tackle easily. Onda couldn't believe how good Kazuhiro is. Kazuhiro sweeps the ball upfront. Mahori with the ball now. He points his finger to Aso to come to him. Aso angered, heave marked him. Mahori runs to the left, Aso sticks to him. Smartly, Mahori left the ball behind while running, Aso was tricked. With his heel, Mahori passed Toshi. Toshi dribbles, but Sakaki with a strong dash causes Toshi to lose control of it. The ball runs to the right sector. And who was there to meet it? Right. No other than Kazuhiro Hiramatsu!
Hirmatsu vs Kyoko, one on one. No! Onda chased him back, still hadn't give up. Onda marked him well, a chance for other defenders to pressed Kazuhiro.
"Hey Genius, shoot your invisible heel-shot", taunt Onda.
What the...? Onda gave him an opportunity to do a heel shot, instead of marking Kazuhiro and waited for more defenders to pressed him. Big mistake Onda.
"It's a one man timing difference. He'll lift the ball once and kick it again with his other foot. I know the secret, Kazuhiro, I'll personally stop you.", thought Onda.
Kazuhiro initiates his heel kick, double heel kick. Onda counted the timing but missed it. Kazuhiro did a single heel kick! Onda lost to Kazuhiro, once again. Kazuhiro successfuly bypass him. A few meters away from the goal, he starts to run for the ball. But Iwagami appeared out of nowhere and takes the possesion away from him. In such critical situation, Iwagami was there again to save the day.
The Number 10 Teiko moved. He was still running. Ootsuka dashes at him. Not an obstacle for "The Emperor". Iwagami was still running free. Sasaki and Yano ran to cover the sector. Sasaki slided for the ball. Junji jumped. As he was about to land Yano was ready to sweep the ball away. But Junji kicked the ball while he gliding the air to his team mate. 1-2 pass, Junji with the ball and was still running free. Finally Akahori stands ground and approached Junji. Junji is stopped for a second, but Akahori couldn't completely sweep the ball. Kamiya quickly thought about assisting Akahori, left his area. Junji saw Kamiya coming, this is what he has been waiting for. Iwagami backpassed with his heel to the empty are stranded by Kamiya to Onda! Onda shot for goal! The ball swirls directly to Kenji. Kenji had his hand open and about to catch it.
At the 17th minute of the first half, Teiko successfuly scored a goal! As they were about to celebrate the goal, a whistle was heard. It was the sideline referee. Kubo's magic shot..", explained Kamiya. Here's a better explanation. "There is no way we can let him do another shot, we'll switch to zone press", Kamiya decided. With this strategy, it will ensure Kakegawa's defense. However, weakens the offense. Kakegawa would have to depend on Kazuhiro and Toshi to score a goal.
"Why did you let Kazuhiro heel kicks?", asked Iwagami angrily to Onda.
"Do you think that he can be defeated with that childish behavior of yours?"
Onda just stand there empty minded.
"Run", instructed Iwagami, "Throw away that worthless attitude"
"Do Your Job!!"
But it dissapeared!!!! Kenji failed to catch it!
