SHOOT is a manga written by Tsukasa Ooshima. It's a story about a small team created by Kubo Yoshiharu. Kubo is a remarkable soccer player, probaly the world's greatest. Sadly, he died of leukimia at the age of 18, the day Kakegawa played Kakekita in the semifinal game. Even though Kakegawa won the game, but they lost on the final 7-1 to Teiko. But Kubo left his hope & dreams to the rest of team. On the following season, Kakegawa made a major comeback and won every single game without Kubo. On the same day & the same month, Kakegawa faced Teiko once again.

The comic series consist from 1-33 episodes, and there's also anime cartoon on it (But I never get to watch it). Shoot isn't as much as popular as Captain Tsubasa, probaly because it is more logical. But the illustration is better than Captain Tsubasa's. After the 33rd series, the comic continued to the NEW SHOOT. It's not new actually, it's the story of the trio Kanekeshi's (Toshi, Kazuhiro, & Kenji) Journey. I am starting to collect the NEW SHOOT manga. Unfortunately I do not how to read kanji, so I'm going to scan images from it.
