Anime ... Saint Seiya
Welcome to my small Saint Seiya Homepage!
I first saw Saint Seiya on cable. Unfortunately, it was dubbed in Mandarin
and there were no English subtitles. But that didn't stop me from watching
it. It's strange I know! But somehow I understood the storylines and characters
without really understanding what they were saying. I love the animation
of Saint Seiya and the plot was very good. I think I liked it a lot because
I'm a mythology fan and Saint Seiya has a lot of that.
Saint Seiya is about the adventures of five men who have sworn to protect
the reincarnation of the Greek Goddess Athena -- Goddess of Wisdom. Her
enemy is the Greek God Ares -- God of War -- who has taken over an adult
body instead of being reincarnated as a child. He wishes to kill Athena
so that he can take control of the world. The five men use armor called
Cloths. These Cloths take the shape of and have the power
of a specific constellation and the wearer of the Cloths gains the
power of that constellation. This power is called the wearer's Cosmos
while the wearer of these Cloths are called Saints.
The five main characters are: Pegasus Seiya, Andromeda Shun, Dragon
Shiryu, Cygnus Hyoga and Phoenix Ikki.
I've been surfing on the net and found some great sites filled with
sounds, images and summaries. But if you really want to save yourself the
trouble I know one place which has all the links to every Saint Seiya site
on the World Wide Web -- Saint
Seiya International. It's done by Arythar McShido.
