Messages for the Applicants:

Dear Future Animators,
We are seeking people with "motivation."  Our definition of "motivation" is a combination of three characteristics- "ambition," "mental endurance" and "physical strength."  Skills and techniques can be acquired naturally through physical experiences at studios, however, the most important are the "ambition" to improve and enhance your skills, endurance and physical strength to survive through the hard production schedules.  We need creators with these characteristics.  Even when you have doubts about your artistic talents or skills, if you're highly motivated, we would like you to come to us.  Let's create an exciting project together!
Sincerely,
Takayuki Goto (Vice President & Chief Animator at Production I.G)

How to become a key animator at Production I.G:

(1) In-between Animators:  You are required to work on I.G titles as well as titles from other studios.

(2) Key Animator Evaluation Test: You must have worked as an in-between animator at Production I.G for at least 2 years, and are able to complete at least 500 in-between animations in 3 consecutive months.  The test is held every June and December.

Dear Future Animators,
We are now facing the generation where the social structure changes on a daily basis.  We must now change our past notions about life.  Companies and organizations can no longer secure our future.  Instead of relying on others, we must depend on ourselves.  Once you decide to work for us, you should reset your mind on the "origin" of the production concept and start out from zero.  You should acquire skills and talents through many experiences and interactions with people from over the world, and develop your own.  If you are only half-serious or just curious about working in the animation industry, you should reconsider.  We will know that instantly!  You don't want to waste your time and money.  Please understand that It it not as easy as it seems to become a professional.  Furthermore, don't feel depressed or insulted if you get rejected.  Often times, it is more peaceful and happy to have a non-animator life...
Sincerely,
Koichi Mashimo (President and Director at Bee Train)
