Kazuo OGA acted as the art director of several Ghibli movies:
Tonari no Totoro (My Neighbor Totoro),
Omohide Poro Poro (Only Yesterday),
Heisei Tanuki Gassen Pon Poko (PomPoko),
and Mononoke Hime (Princess Mononoke). He
worked as an artist for the productions of Kurenai
no Buta (Porco Rosso) and On Your Mark,
and worked on backgrounds and scenic design (respectively) for
Majo no Takkyuubin (Kiki's Delivery Service)
and Mimi wo Sumaseba (Whisper of the
Heart).
He recently published his
first art book, Oga Kazuo Gashuu,
containing works he created for Ghibli movies.
