Questions answered on this page:
The title literally means A Thousand and
Chihiro Spirited Away. An alternate translation might be The Spiriting Away
of Sen and Chihiro or The Spiriting Away of a Thousand and Chihiro. We
don't know if Sen is a character or if it's just the Japanese word for "a
thousand". An official English title has not been announced yet.
When is it being released and is it coming to my country?
It's currently scheduled for release in
Japan in July 2001. There is currently no information about releases in
countries other than Japan. Disney is contributing to the production costs of
the film in return for distribution rights, so there is a high likelihood
of Disney (or a subsidiary) releasing it in other countries around the
world.

Who will distribute it in theaters in Japan?
Touhou (also written "Toho") Film will
distribute the movie through its theater chain in Japan. No announcement has been
made regarding distribution outside of Japan.

Will it use computer graphics?
Probably. Studio Ghibli got their
collective feet wet using CG in Princess Mononoke, and took
the plunge when they produced the 100%-digital feature My
Neighbors the Yamadas. While there has been no official announcement about it,
there is a good chance that at least some of the movie will use computer graphics
of some sort.

When does the story take place?
Modern Japan, though at least part of the
film will take place in the Land of the Spirits, where Chihiro goes to rescue her
parents.
