She looked over at Zeke, who was sleeping peacefully, even drooling a bit. *cute* she thought and decided she was glad he was merely her friend. Especially when so many of the other Otaku were romantically inclined to their Guardians. She shuddered.
But Kristsi made a littel noise in her sleep that called Meredith's attention of her right, away form Zeke. Kristsi was sleeping, if it could be called that, quite fitfully, and Meredith assumed she was in the middle of a nightmare. After waffling on whether to wake her or let it resolve itself- it could be a good dream, after all- Meredith reached over and touched Kristsi's shoulder to rouse her.
But a strange sensation greeted her when she touched Kristsi. A new kind of energy seemed to be flowing through the sleeping girl, and Meredith was startled as she realized it, not only because it was there, but that she knew about it somehow.
"What the...?" Meredith mumbled to herself as she pulled back. She though for a minute. *Could this have anything to do with the lights? And how do I know it's energy? I wonder...*
She toucned Kristsi's shoulder again, and this time focused on the new energy. After a brief tingling feeling, Meredith seemed to understand the energy and what it meant. Kristsi was dreaming, but she couldn't tell of what. But this wasn't an ordinary dream, it was on a different level, and Meredith pulled back to reflect on the occurance and try to reason it out.
"Good, she didn't wake up." Meredith was whispering to herself now, as it was the easiest way to sort things out. Her brain got so cluttered sometimes that she had to say things, even if was just to herself, to keep them straight.
"What's up with this energy thing, and what's going on with Kristsi?"
