Susanne sighed. She still wasn't even sure herself what to think. "I dunno... she knows about me. She knows I'm alive. Maybe this will keep her from telling Celly straight off that I'm still around."

"Or she could lead Celly right to you."

Susanne said nothing for a few moments. "Not to change the subject, but does it feel like we're being watched?"

"Don't worry about it," Roger said as they rounded the corner and opened a portal. Susanne jumped in first, and as soon as she was back in the apartment, she headed for the fridge and pulled out a coke. Roger came in directly behind her. "I'm still worried, though. Teaming up with Nyx is not the wisest thing you've done."

"Two points: one, there's a good chance I'd have to fight her eventually, anyway. There can be only one, remember? And two, she doesn't know where we are now."

"But--"

"Can we please drop the subject for a little while? I'm sorry to sound bitchy, but I don't really want to talk about it."

Roger sighed and nodded. There wasn't much he could do at the moment, anyway. She was out of the Game now, and she was no longer officially his responsibility. He watched silently as Susanne opened up her computer and began reading. "What's that?"

She glanced his way, and scooted over to make room for him. "It's still the files from the castle. Bob's files, to be exact. I thought I'd go through and see what I could find out, if anything. See if I could figure out what Lambda Project is, for example."

"Have you been able to?"

"Not so far. I've got an idea of how to stop it, though."

"How?"

Susanne bit her lip. She wanted to tell him, but... she shook her head. "I'm not even sure it'll work. So I'm not going to say anything. But at any rate," she pointed to the screen, "this is the factual account of Bob's interactions with Celly. And things that Celly does when he's not around. I guess he uses teh SERA systems to keep tabs on her."

Roger squirmed a little in his seat.

"Roger, how much have you written about me?"

"Sketchy details. That's all that the Council requires."

"That's what I thought," she said quietly, turning back to the screen. After a few minutes, she sighed and closed the document.

"So what now?"

"Now..." Susanne looked back at her computer. "Now I see what I can do about Lambda Project."

Roger grinned as she began typing. He stood up and went back into the kitchen. He might as well fix something to eat. She'd be working on that for awhile. Of course he knew what the plan was. Of course it would work. He knew that better than anybody. He shook his head and chuckled at the memory, and began singing as he gathered stuff for dinner. "Well, I came upon a child of God, he was walking along the road, and I asked him, tell me where are you going, this he told me..."
