the home studio
Welcome
to my home studio. This is the place where I spend most of my time at home.
The running of the ex-Starlight Express BBS, my MiDi creations, and webpage
design and development all took place in this room.
Here's
a brief tour around my home studio, starting with the photo on the right:
On
the far left is my dry box. All my magnetic media and electronic equipment
are stored inside this cabinet. On top of it sits the old laser printer,
which is rarely used these days. Do you see that ivory coloured data switch
box, mounted under the computer table? Well, this is the switch selector
for the 2 printers in this studio set-up. The other printer is placed beside
to the tower casing. Presently, the Epson Stylus Pro printer you see in
this picture is no longer there, it had broken down soon after this picture
was taken. A brand new HP inkjet printer now takes over that spot. On the
floor is the foot suspension pedal for my MiDi keyboard.
Now
let's move on to the next photo:
On
the left sits the flatbed scanner. Next to it is the 17" trinitron monitor,
a superb addition to this studio. This is a professional series graphics
monitor which displays super sharp pictures, and with an amazing pitch
depth of only 0.22mm. The tower casing has to be placed on the printer
table due to space constrain, and the modem sits comfortably on top of
it. The lower shelf holds my hi-fi system, which is directly connected
to the sound card. Again, due to space constrain, my MiDi keyboard has
to be place on top of the hi-fi set when it is not in use.
Well,
that wraps up this little tour around my studio. Ja mata!
