Background:        Meet 10 year old Ash Ketchem. He wants to be a Pokemon Master, and wants to as soon as he was ten. As soon as that day came, he woke up late (great way to start a day...I did that once) and came to Prof. Oak's in his pajamas. Upon arriving, he found Gary, already with his Pokemon. As Gary leaves, Ash is more than determined to be a Pokemon Master.

        He enters in, and tries to first get a Squartle, but no luck. A Bulbasaur was his second choice, but as Prof. Oak said, "The early bird gets the worm...or in this case, the Pokemon." His third choice and final hope was a Charmander, but it was already taken. Ash was about to give up hope, but Prof. Oak showed Ash a Pikachu to be his first Pokemon. Though Pikachu hated Ash at first, they became the best of friends.

       On the way, he borrowed...and demolished a bike who owner's name was Misty. She was so mad, she followed him to Viridan City and then, joined him on his journey. Then, when Ash went to the first gym, which was the Pewter City Gym, he met Brock. After failing the first time, and winning the second, Ash got the Boulder Badge, and a new friend to go on his journey.

       Now, Ash has collected 6 badges and has 8 Pokemon (not counting the ones he used to have.)
