Once again, I, Healer, got to do an interview. This time it was with CereCere, whom I'm sure you all know is a member of the popular Amazoness Quartet, the first Sailormoon reviewers on the net. My comments are in purple, CereCere's are in orange.
There are now around 15 WPR groups? What do you
think if them (not specifically, but in general)?
There are 15 now? Yeesh, up till last week I still
only knew of 12. Well some of the new sites are
good, some are bad, some are in the middle, as is the
way with everything.
As for the bad ones, well I'm not going to name names
right now, but I have seen some reviewers that do not
have a clue what they are talking about when it comes
to the show. You can't review SM pages on simple
opinion
and HTML knowledge alone. You have to know the story!
There also isn't any sense of uniqueness with each of
the WPRs any more. A lot the newest ones are very
similar
to ones that came before. They have nothing to really
make
them stand out from one another. We have always said,
there
isn't much sense in creating a site when you do not
have
anything original or unique to contribute.
If you think I'm only saying this because we are
worried
about competition, let me say competition has always
been
good for us. It has helped to push the development of
our site further.
Why is it that only your VesVes' seem to leave
the group?
It's the curse of VesVes!!!!!
Actually we are also on our second Para, errr Palla
now. The first one liked being called Para, this one
likes
Palla, go fig?
Did you ever think that the WPR idea would go
this far?
As far as 15 other pages popping up? Or us lasting
almost three years?
At first, we had no idea if this was going to fly.
However, I think someone jokingly said,
"If this works, how long will it take for another site
to come along?"
A few people have said that in the beginning you
used your group to promote your individual pages. Is
that true?
Yes, my real name is Hitoshi Doi! :D
Seriously though, when we started only one of us had a
Sailormoon
page. So, no we didn't use this to promote our own
pages.
Consider these facts, only one of us had a SM page
when we
started and now only two of us have one. Also we
originally planned to
only do bad pages and added good page reviews in our
second month after
several outside requests and suggestions. By the
fourth set of reviews we
were only taking emailed nominations to determine the
review lists.
Why do you think you've stayed around while other
older WPR groups just died?
I have no idea why the M's and the Outers disappeared,
and I don't want to contribute to any rumors.
The Needles said why they left on their page.
We had already been around for almost one year
before the other WPRs appeared and in that time we
had become a pretty tight group, willing to stick with
this idea. That's the only reason I can think of.
We just like doing this.
What is the stupidest/strangest thing anyone has
done to try to get you to shut down your page?
I guess it would be anyone who has tried to set up a
page
that said they were against what we are doing.
They would rant on about what was wrong with us, but
then would also go on to review pages. Doing exactly
what
they said they were against.
Do you have any big plans for the group/site?
Not at the moment. We did just add a new review
section
and plan to develop some other sections a bit further,
but no plans for anything really new and big right
now.
Has anyone ever asked you if they could be a new
member of the group, like Neherenia, Zirconia, etc.?
Several times, but we prefer to keep it to four
members.
We are a pretty tight group and it makes things work a
little easier.
What bothers you the most in bad Sailormoon
pages?
When they have incorrect information and
when their layout makes text difficult to read.
