The Manga
If you were to ask me which I
prefered more, the manga or anime, I would answer in a heartbeat, "The manga."
The drawings, like the one below, are more detailed than the anime, but at the same
time, the anime can focus on more subplots, and really develops the characters.
Besides, the manga doesn't have Yuuichiru! The manga has lots of beautiful pictures,
and I can't forget that this is the original Sailor Moon

The Anime
Though I may have said that I preferred the
manga over the anime, I also enjoy the anime. I like how the anime goes further into
plot depth, and also moves slower, giving people the chance to comprehend the story.
I also like the in-depth view of the villains and the other characters. The anime
also add characters, like Yuuichiru (who I really like!)

The DiC Version
Ok...normally, I'm proud to be
an American, but after seeing the "American" version I want to run and hide.
Don't get me wrong, I loved it when I first saw it. Then I found Sailor Moon
online, and discovered how stupid our version was. Yet for all you out there who
call Raye a b****, she was my favorite character even before I saw Rei. ^^ The
American version is great for those people who are not able to get subtitled, or don't
know Japanese. However, I suggest getting the subtitled version, or do what I did,
join an Anime Club and watch the subtitled version.

The Clover Version
I'm not really sure what I think
of the Clover Version of Sailor Moon. The script at first seemed to be relatively
close to the origional Japanese version, but they had a problem with consistency.
They kept calling the Holy Grail and the Messiah different names, and every attack
was called at least three different things. I think they even called Rei's Burning
Mandara "Fire Rings." The character names (Amara and Trista) are the
worst, and don't even get me started on their voices. And the infamous Rei episode,
# 99... The plot was completely messed up. Chad (Yuuichiru) knew that Amara
(Haruka) was a girl, which doesn't explain why he was jealous and leaving. In the
Japanese ep. Rei doesn't admit any feelings for Yuuichiru, nor does she deny them.
They are subtily hinted at, while Raye comes reght out and says she
"likes" Chad. Yet for every time they (Clover) manage to dissapoint me,
they have a monent of greatness, and make me applaud them - I almost cried when I heard
the origional background song in ep. 99!

The Characters:
Usagi Tuskino / Sailor Moon
I find Usagi's character to be an intriguing character. I like watching her
mature through the different series, from crybaby to a strong young woman. Though I like
her character, she sometimes gets on my nerves and I find it trying, that she all ways is
able to destroy the baddie. But I suppose that's what happens when your the star of
a series^^

Ami Mizuno / Sailor Mercury
Sweet lovable Ami, what's not to like? She never argues, and is alway the one
to fall back on. I admit that when I first saw her, I was not impressed. But
that was because I first saw Amy Anderson of the DiC version *shudders.* My favorite
Ami moment: The girls are introducing themselves to the Starlights, and show their
fan club cards. They include membership numbers like 173 or 200 or something like
that. Then Ami introduces herself as member #25, and blushes deep red as she says
it! Naturally the others are staring at her with open mouths^^

Rei Hino / Sailor Mars
All right, I'll admit this is kind of pointless, but humor me^^ Rei is my
very favorite character, I even like her as Raye! I love the fact that Rei and
Usagi's friendship never falters, it just sorta tips at times (hence the
tounge-wars^^) I have to admit, my favorite Rei/Sailor Mars moment is in the final
episodes of Stars. All the other Inners have faded away, leaving only Rei and
Usagi. Usagi cries for Rei not to leave her. Rei then tells her to not be
stupid, she still has Mamoru (she doesn't know that Mamoru died a few episodes
earlier) Rei's last words to Usagi were, "You're...too...sweet...
be...strong." Rei then fades away. *sniff* OK...I have to admit, I
cried when I first saw this, it's so sad...*sniff*

Makoto Kino / Sailor Jupiter
When I first saw Mako-chan, she was Lita. Surpprisingly enough, I found her
to be sorta a ditz. She was way to boycrazy for me...(I've never even dreamed of
a boyfriend^^(Obviously lying^^)) But, the more I saw, the more I
liked. Since I'm naming my favorite senshi moment, I have to tell this one. It
happened in S. Mako was training to become more powerful, and her role model was
this spiritual guy. Mako wanted to do everything he did, even stand under an ice
cold waterfall! She got under and jumped right back out. Then she asked how he
could stand it. I don't really remember exactly what happened next (its been quite a
while since I saw it) but I think he was frozen stiff! Anyways, that's my favorite
Mako moment.^^

Minako Aino / Sailor Venus
As the senshi of love, Sailor Venus rules. Not only are her attacks based
upon love and beauty, but she is always concerned with her fellow senshi. Hmmm... My
most favorite Minako/Venus moment...there's so many!^^! I was really touched during
the battle with Queen Beryl, when Sailor Venus pushed Sailor Moon out of harm's way (even
though it meant her own death.) I thought it was funny when Minako and Rei tied up
the announcer during Usagi and Seya's baseball game. And who could ever forget the
most memorible Minako moment. Everyone had already had their pure hearts stolen, and
Minako was desperate to prove her hert was also pure. So, she visited 13 bloodbanks
in one day. When her heart was finally taken, she grabbed it and ran away.
(chattering like a monkey!!!) Its impossible to pick just one moment for
Minako...you have to take her for every moment, funny and sad.
