Chapter Seven
A few more days passed. No one was still to see Hiei but Kurama. And the fox was making a good attempt to tame the Jaganshi. He would come and follow Kurama to places where no one was and both of them would spend quality time together by the pond, river and garden.
His wound was nearly healed as no more blood came out of it and he needn’t to use anymore painkillers.
As Hiei and Kurama were sitting on the stone bench near the pond, Hiei pondered about something. Kurama was combing his hair and tying it up with a wad of white ribbon. “There… perfect,” Kurama smiled as Hiei turned around to face Kurama. Those green eyes were so beautiful; so full of love, care and patience.
And Hiei finally realized that he had fell in love with the kind redhead. “Kurama?” he called softly. “Yes, Hiei?” Kurama grinned playfully. Sometimes he and Hiei would play a game of calling each other’s name, just for the sake of fun. “I want to tell you something but would you promise me not to be angry at me?” Hiei asked. “Why in the three worlds would I be angry at you?” Kurama smiled.
Here goes nothing; Hiei thought. “You may not love me, but I am in love with you… I’m sorry. It just happened because you’re so nice to me… and the fact that you’re so beautiful just made it deeper… I just can’t help it,” Hiei looked down at the bench they were sitting on.
Kurama was silent, trying to digest what Hiei was telling him. Hiei, thinking that Kurama was maybe not happy with it scratched his head. “I… I mean… I’m just telling you, you know? You don’t have to love me back! Please don’t be angry at me!” Hiei’s eyes were worried.
Kurama smiled as tears came out from the corner of his eyes. “I’m sorry Kurama… please don’t cry…” Hiei held Kurama’s shoulder with his right hand and his other free hand desperately brushing away Kurama’s free flowing tears. “How can I not cry Hiei?” Kurama smiled. “I love you so much Hiei… I was afraid you would not love me back,” Kurama smiled amidst his tears.
“Then you’re not angry with me?” Hiei asked. Kurama smiled happily. “Of course not!” Kurama held Hiei’s hand that was brushing off his tears and slowly kissed it. His other hand reached for Hiei’s face as it traced the jaw line, leaning closer, diminishing the space between them.
Hiei could feel Kurama’s warm breath so near against himself.
The redhead caught Hiei’s slightly parted lips and licked the lips, slowly
leaning closer and began sucking on the lips. Hiei closed his eyes and
responded. The kiss grew wilder and Hiei’s head began to spin.
With lust…
With love…
With memories…
Kurama held the back of Hiei’s head and deepened the kiss, twirling his tongue with Hiei’s, oblivious to Hiei’s state of unconsciousness.
Kurama stopped when he sensed no response from the koorime.
“Hiei?” Kurama asked when he broke the kiss. Hiei was limp against his arm. “Hiei!” Kurama exclaimed.
“HIEI!!”
“What’s wrong Kurama?” Yuusuke asked, leaning close to listen to Hiei’s chest. “Hiei… Hiei, he…” Kurama bit his tears. Yuusuke straightened up and smiled. “He still has his heartbeat. Don’t worry,” He patted Hiei’s forehead. “Yo, shrimp! Wake up!” Kuwabara sang.
Then Hiei’s eyelids moved. “He’s waking up!” Riko exclaimed and stood behind Ayami.
Hiei startled awake and scratched his head, straightening up. “Why are you all here?” he asked, looking around. “Hiei-san’s back?” Hanaya asked. Hiei then looked at Kurama’s astonished face. “Yo, Kurama!” Hiei waved his hand in front of Kurama’s eyes.
Kurama blinked twice and lunged forward to hug Hiei. “Hiei! You’re back!!!” Kurama exclaimed, fresh tear flowed again. “Hey! Watch it! There’s kids here!” Hiei smiled and patted Kurama’s back.
“Welcome back, Hiei-san!” they all chorused. “Aha… and where was I?” Hiei asked. “You don’t remember?” Kuwabara asked. “Ei, if I did. I wouldn’t have asked, ne?” Hiei smirked with Kurama still hugging him.
“Dinner’s ready!” suddenly Yukina hollered and came with Keiko. “Ah, Hiei-san! It’s good to see you!” Yukina smiled and came forward to hug Hiei. Hiei nodded and returned the brotherly hug. “Yeah, me too… but where did I go?” Hiei asked. “Kurama would spend the whole night telling you that. But for now, let’s eat!” Yuusuke exclaimed. “Yeah!” they all agreed and followed Yuusuke inside.
Just as Hiei wanted to get up from the bench a slight pain radiated from his backside, the youkai paused. “What’s wrong Hiei-koi?” Kurama asked. Hiei lured a glance at Kurama. “Did you by any chance screwed me silly last night and I have no memories of it? Because my asshole’s kinda sore,” Hiei smiled.
Kurama leaned over and gave Hiei a hearty peck on the cheek. “That’s for me to know and for you to guess,” the fox giggled. “You!” Hiei put his arms around Kurama and followed him up the stairs.
Kurama smiled. It was the kiss that brought Hiei back to him. He was sure. “What’re you thinking of, fox?” Hiei asked. “You,” Kurama leaned closer and nuzzled Hiei’s neck. “We’ll do it after dinner okay? I’m starved,” Hiei rubbed his flat belly, then leaned closer to whisper something in Kurama’s ears. “And for some unknown reason I have this weird feeling that told me I haven’t screw your brains silly for quite some time…” Hiei shrugged. “But the sore…” it was his turn to be deep in thoughts.
“Oh, come to dinner, silly!” Kurama pulled the youkai in and shut the door to the dining hall.
