It was my friend's birthday and as usual, I get left out in a big crowd. He had been sitting across the table from me and was a friend of a friend of my friend (Oiy!). I noticed him staring but I decided that it was nothing at the time. After lunch, the whole group decided to go to the arcade at Eau Claire Market and when I was sitting by myself (all lonely again *sigh*), he came over and started talking to me. After a little chat, he asked to meet me at the university and wanted my phone number(he was the first person I gave my phone number to without knowing him that well at first!). I was suspicious at first, but after consulting with my friends, one of them told me to that he would ask me out in a week. Sure enough, he did, taking my hand in his and looking at the sky while asking me. It took a while for me to say ok, but we had our first date on Valentine's Day. Romantic, ne? And that's how our story started about 5 years ago.
