#17 is a creation of Dr. Gero. He looks like a boy, has straight black hair to his chin and blue eyes. As with #18, there are two different #17 in the Dragonball Z series. One belongs to Future Trunks timeline and the other is in the normal series timeline. The first one is a very cruel android with only one intent, to destroy everything that lives on the Earth, just for the pure pleasure of doing it. That #17 managed to annihilate most of the Z fighters of his timeline. The #17 of the normal timeline is not as cruel as the other version of himself, he doesn't kill unnecessarily and is never seen torturing humans without any special reason. But #17 is still a very cold individual with only one mission in mind: to kill Son-Gokou, and anyone who steps in his way or tries to slow him down. #17 is also responsible by the death of Dr. Gero. He is a very strong android, claiming to be strongest person in the Universe, and very self-confident. He doesn't rush into things and is very patient. Due to his big ego he couldn't believe that Cell was a stronger fighter than him and was easily absorbed by the monster, allowing him to go to 2nd stage Cell. #17 is later resurrected by Shenlon and becomes an outback hunter. In Dragonball GT a new #17 appears, "Hell Fighter #17" is a combined creation of Dr. Gero and another evil scientist Myuu. This new Hell Fighter #17 then combines with the old #17 and together they form the very powerful "Super #17", that eventually is defeated by SSJ4 Gokou and #18.
