As Tenou Haruka (“distant sky king”) in the Japanese original, Amara caused the other Sailor Soldiers much initial turmoil with her arrival. Even Serena seems infatuated with the mysterious figure until Amara’s identity as a female is reveal.
Amara is the name used in the North American dub. However, since I had not seen those episodes before I started Jupiter’s Gone, I kept the Japanese name Haruka. |

Sailor Uranus wields tremendous power with her “Earth Shaking” and possesses a sword. She is also usually partnered with Sailor Neptune, and they worked together with Sailor Pluto to stop the rise of the Silent Messiah (Sailor Saturn). While they disagree with Sailor Moon’s methods regarding Saturn, they eventually grow to respect her.
In both the manga and anime, Sailors Uranus and Neptune are romantically linked. However, in the North American dub, they are turned into cousins (leading to some interesting dialogue). The romantic link has been kept in Jupiter’s Gone, although the relationship does not play a huge role in the story. |
