Paul Rodan was orphaned at early age when his parents were killed in an accident. Possibly feeling a kinship to the boy because of his plight, Princess Lita brings the young Paul to the Jovian capital and makes his a ward of the castle. He quickly finds a friend in the oldest daughter, Leda.
Over the years, the relationship between him and Leda grew, the feelings growing deeper. Just when it looked like the relationship turned romantic, Leda went to Crystal Tokyo for more than two years to finish her training as heir to the throne of Jupiter. It took the events on Charon for the two to admit their feelings. While Paul is very supportive, he does get frustrated with Leda's secretive nature. However, he is the first to defend her. And he will defend and protect her until his last breath. |

As Ganymede, Paul is the chosen protector of the Jupiter Sailor Soldiers.
However, the Jupiter Sailor Soldiers didn't know the identity of their guardian for a long time. Leda learned of his identity until her final battle with Nadomus on Charon. The others didn't find out until the events on the forest moon of Ananke. While Ganymede serves as the protector of the Jupiter Sailor Soldiers, he is particularly protective of Sailor Jupiter Moon. He does what he can to keep her safe in battle. Which makes him a particular enemy of Nadomus, who enjoys torturing her. Like Leda, Paul may never reach the true potential of his power. However, as long as he is strong enough to protect Sailor Jupiter Moon and her sisters in battle, it's all right with him. |
