A Little Too Late I thought I'd get by
without you by my side but life has taught me so differently. I search for something to say that would keep you here and make you stay but you are intent to say goodbye. So I'm down on my knees and begging you, “Please, don't leave me here to cry.” But you just walk away, ignoring all I say, leaving me awash in misery's tide. Now I see it so clear that your place is right but it's just a little too late. |
