AKANE'S JERK CHICKEN (Bakayarou Tori)

If you recall, when Nodoka was teaching Ranko and Akane how to cook, the two "girls" decided to have a face off.

It was then that Akane developed a new recipe. She named it after Ranma, so therefore it is Jerk Chicken -- bakayarou tori.

If you eat at Caribbean restaurants, you will hear of a thing called Jerk Chicken. "Jerk", in this case, refers to a blend of many secret spices. This is a variant, called "tear-jerk" sauce. It also has many secret spices, since one of the ingredients is the Hamburger Helper sauce packet. After all, nobody knows what is in Hamburger Helper.

Typical Stupid Ingredients:

*1: I'd strongly recommend that you use a good reddish or brownish colored ones. I haven't tried if you got those "weird" ones like "honey mustard".

*2: Get one of the "spicy" ones, like "Zesty Italian".

*3: I think that you could try other vegetables, and maybe frozen ones. But the peas came out tolerable.

E-Z Steps:

  1. Whack the chicken up into small pieces.
  2. Use about two tablespoons of barbecue sauce to marinate the whacked chicken.
  3. Stir fry the chicken using a few tablespoons of oil.
  4. Drain the saucepan. Then, pretend the chicken is beef and follow the directions on the Hamburger Helper box. The exceptions are: add ONE cup of water to the amount of water you're supposed to add, and add the 7 oz. of your dry macaroni. Do not add the macaroni from the box.
  5. When it reaches a boil, add the original Hamburger Helper macaroni.
  6. Basically, stir until all the macaroni goes soft. Add the peas when the macaroni is about done, to prevent them from getting mushy.
  7. It's a new form of jambalaya, and it can be very good (if you had the right combination of BBQ sauce and Hamburger Helper). By adding macaroni, the salt content lowers per serving, and you'll also have enough to last for days. Sugoi!

This recipe is very loose, and you can switch to other items. The following is one example that I made the other day:
