Majo no Takkyubin (Kiki's Delivery Service)

Kiki has been dubbed into English by Carl Macek and shown on JAL trans-Pacific flights. It's a fairly good dub.  The dub is included in the Ghibli LD Box Set (see below) with English available on right analogue track.

Disney has made a new dub with Kirten Dunst, Phil Hartman, Debbie Raynolds and other A-class talents.  The opening and ending songs were changed to new English songs,  some new pieces of music were added, and credit was changed from Japanese to English, but  not even one second was cut from the film.  The new version will be released in North America on September 1, 1998.  (See Kiki headline page for more details.)

Disney is also going to release a subbed VHS of "Kiki" in sometime in 1998 (after the release of the dubbed version). The sub will contain the original Japanese opening and ending songs by Yumi ARAI, not the new Sidney Forest's songs in the dub. The sub will be letterboxed, while the dub will be pan&scan.

Kiki will be available on laserdisc, as well as on video. The laserdisc version will be letterboxed. According to the advertisement, the laserdisc version will come with "the original Japanese language track."
