ARSLAN / ARISLAN
A baby was born to a relatively unknown Pars knight and his young wife. Ten days after the birth, the wife, who always had a weak constitution, became exhausted and died. At a loss, the young father sent for a messenger of the royal palace and entrusted his child to him. In exchange, he received gold and a rank in the army, but he was killed on the battlefield, his secret, and his family name, dying with him. When he was little, Prince Arslan was entrusted to a wet nurse, and grew up free and unmindful of social customs. At the death of the woman that had taken care of him (he was 12 at the time), he was brought to his 'mother', the Royal Princess Tahamine, and was received very coldly. Some rumours already ran about the fact that he had no right to be called the rightful heir to the Pars Throne. At 14, the boy who became Young Prince Arslan received his baptism of
fire, as signified by the horned helmet of the Pars Kings, at the battle
of Atorobatene ( Running from the battefield, they hid in the house of Narcasse, a hermit living in the forest and old friend of Darun, on their way to the safety of fortress or Peshawahru, rumoured to be the last resiting stronghold of the Pars Kingdom. From there, Arslan starts to plan ways to free his country from the Lusitanian invaders. To fully understand Arslan's claim (or lack thereof) to the Pars Throne, go to the Illustrated Pars Royal Family history. Warning: Spoilers and headaches assured. ![]()
