Some of you will know the name from the X (CLAMP) anime soundtrack,
a few of you will have been able to listen to their music, but most of you
do not know what I am talking about. This article is addressed to
everybody, and I hope it helps you to get a complete idea of the best
Japanese rock band.
In the photo below are the five actual members of X Japan (I swear
they are all men). From left to right, they are: Taiji (bass),
Yoshiki (drums, piano, etc.), Pata (rythm guitar), Hide (lead guitar)
and Toshi (vocal).
X Japan member extensive information
Yoshiki is the leader and drums of the band, and he composes most
of the songs. The aspect he gives them goes from slow, sad ballades
like Forever Love to fast and hard songs like Standing Sex, with
very strong guitar and drums. But the feeling Yoshiki puts into
every song is very sad.
The songs have been worked hard on, and one of the things that
distinguishes them from other bands is rythm changes. They can make
one of their hard, fast songs look tender by means of rythm changes
and lyrics.
The singer, Toshi, is also great. His voice is wonderful and his
friendship with Yoshiki since school times (they were the first ones
in the band who met each other) lets him sing the songs exactly as
Yoshiki had composed them.
Anyway, anything I tell you will not give you an idea until you
listen to their music. So I think you should download this
zip, which includes the midi version and
lyrics for (Kurenai).
And if you want more midi files, look for them in Discography.
