TV  Serie

Saint Seiya Tv serie was made by  Toei Doga. It ha 114 episodes, broadcasted by TV Asahi between october 11 1986 and April 4 1989. It has 3 sagas:

1 - Santuario Saga

Episodes 1 to 73. It starts when Seiya wins his Pegasus armor in Greece. Includes the Galactic Wars, the fights against the Black Saints, Ikki's resurrection and the final battle against the 12 Gold Saints in the Sanctuary. Ends when Saga's defeated by Athena. Story is based mostly in the manga but somethings were created only by the animation.

2 - Asgard Saga

Episodes 74 to 99. This saga was created by Toei due the success of the second movie and it's not based in the original manga. Hilda of Polaris, Odin High Priestess, is possesed by the Nibelung Ring and forgots her duties. Due to this, the polar icecaps are melting, putting all the world in danger. Athena and the Bronze Saints voyage to Asgard. She tries to stop the melting, but she only could stop it for 12 hours. The Bronze Saints must defeat the Asegard God Warriors and reach Hilda before Athena's cosmo will extinguish.

3 - Poseidon Saga

Episodes 100 to 114. Hilda's free of Nibelung ring curse, but Poseidon has kidnapped Athena. Poseidon wishes to destroy the world by the water and Athena offers herself as sacrifice to delay it. Poseidon locks up Athena in the central column of his undersea shrine. The Bronze Saints must defeat the seven Sea Shoguns and destroy the columns they protect before they could the central column and save Athena.

Meanwhile the serie was broadcasted, 4 movies were showed in theaters around japan.

Saint Seiya Gekijôban (Saint Seiya, The Movie)

1987; 45 min. The Bronze Saints against the Goddess Eris and her Ghost Saints.

(the gods' fierce battle)

1988; 46 min. Hyoga disappears in Asegard. Athena and his friends go to Asegard to find him. Here they must fight against the evil Dolbar and his God Warriors to prevent Asegard to conquer the world.

Saint Seiya " Shinkô no Shonen Densetsu"
(The legend of hot-blooded boys)

23/07/88. The God Abel retuns to Earth and meets his sister Athena, but she oposses his plans and her life is in danger. Her Saints must save her and fight Abel's saints but also the Gold Saints revived by Abel.

(Warriors of Armageddon)

1989. Athena and her Bronze Saints against Lucifer.

España - "Los Caballeros del Zodiaco"

• TV serie broadcasting under the title "Los Caballeros del Zodiaco" first by TV2 and after by Tele 5, which show all the episodes between 1990 - 1992.
• Tele 5 broadcasted also the third movie as "Los Caballeros del Zodiaco". After, it was edited by Anime Video. The other 3 movies had been finally published too.
• Planeta de Agostini published the original manga since the end of Poseidon Saga.

Francia - "Les Chevaliers du Zodiaque"

• TV serie broadcasted under the title "Les Chevaliers du Zodiaque" between 1988-91 and edited by Manga Land.
• The four movies had been edited by Manga Power under the following names:
  Les guerriers d'Abel, La légende de la pomme d'or, La guerre des dieux, Le dieu des enfers
• The manga is currently published by Dargaud.
• One of the two Saint Seiya game for the Famicom console, "La legende d'or", has been translated into French.

Italia - "Il Cavalieri dello Zodiaco"

• TV serie broadcasted under the title "Il Cavalieri dello Zodiaco" in 1990 by Odeon TV  (episodes 1-52) and ITALIA7 (episodes 53-114), and later by JTV (all the episodes)
• Granata Press has edited all the manga, even Hades saga.
