L i n k s - L i n k s !

Here's the part of the page where I tell myself you've seen everything there is to see on Skank Dojin and, in an attempt to learn more about what makes me tick, you'll peruse my favorite links. SURELY not because you're just tired of me and want to move on, mind you. Oh, heavens no. I won't even CONSIDER that possibility.

Yeeeeee-eah, well, regardless, here are the websites I spend most of my free time on, in no particular order whatsoever.

Comics and Such

The Thin H Line So long as I've run a website, I've posted a link to THL. It's a perennially awesome web comic closely modelled after Heartbroken Angels (which was pretty fucking awesome to begin with.) In case you are unaware, THL is, while not flat-out porn, per se, insomuch as it's not for the expressed purpose of getting you off, but it's pretty dirty stuff nonetheless. If the sight of exposed genitalia makes you feel frightened and violated, then I strongly suggest you not stop by. But fuck it, if you're not the squeamish sort, go for it. And if you ARE the squeamish sort, why the fuck are you still here?

Impromanga Grandaddy of all round-robin manga sites. Running a big slow nowadays, but nonetheless noteable for its archives. I reccommend The Unseen Hand (even if it does borrow a lot from The Sandman at times) and Controversial Jack, which is a bit rough-going at first but ass-crackingly funny by the time the denouement comes around.
I'm slated to do a part for Chocolate Mint, which, like my first impro - see below - is shoj. (Why do I keep doing these things? I usually can't
stand shoj. Am I a masochist?) Well, it starts out pretty shoj-predictably, but recently it's been getting interesting. Token-bland-dude-whom-the-herione-gets-infatuated-with is shaping up to be a real slut. This intrigues me. Stay tuned

Shojo Impro Shoj-etized spin-off of Impromanga. This right here is where I've made my afforementioned impro debut. Check out A New Beginning pages 19-25 for the Polly stuff. So neet. So very very neet.

Anime and Such

UMJAMS Anime News One should be aware of what's going on in one's adopted counterculture, and UMJAMS is a pretty reliable source for Otaku-dom. Here you'll find a range of anime, manga, and video game news -- in other words, everything dug by anime geeks. The grammar is occasionally suspect, but the reporting is usually spot-on, so it balances out pretty well, in my opinion.

The Anime Online Essay Archive I am firm in my belief that the best kind of otaku is an informed otaku. If chat rooms, mailing lists, mail columns and fan shrines are any indication, this sort of otaku is a rare bird indeed. Thankfully, there are a few of you out there who take the time to pour some serious thought into their hobby, and this site offers a pretty encouraging sampling of their written works. Topics vary from standard character analysis to examinations of Japanese culture itself. Whether you're novice or hardcore, you'll regardless find something that'll interest you here.

Shinigami.org A big fat fucking Gundam Wing site. (Hey, it's my link page, I'll run it how I see fit.) Unlike most other big fat fucking Gundam Wing sites, though, this one features (dun-dun-dun-dun) Gratutious Zechs. And ample Treizeage as well. Wheeeeeeee. (You can't see it, but I'm smiling.) While admittedly there is a yaoi quotient to contend with, the general tone of the site is pretty tounge-in-cheek, so it never gets uncomfortable. And even in the straightforward shonen ai section, there be devil chib. Devil Chibs!! Sweet mother, they're adorable. In a way that feels deeply, fundamentally wrong. And to me, that's the very best way for a chib to be.

Skank Dojin is brought to you by Polly E. All artwork displayed, while perhaps not always used with copyright permission, remain my intellectual property. Point being, stealing my images is very Not Okay. If you feel super-inclined to put something of mine on your site, then you damn well better ask. And FYI: if I don't respond to your emails, that doesn't mean I'm giving tacit approval.
