  • Freeza asks Goku if he wouldn't enjoy becoming his new second-in-command.
  • Naturally, Goku turns Freeza down.
  • Freeza then brags that even if Goku were to use all his remaining power, Freeza would only require fifty percent of his own power to defeat him. 
  • Goku has the feeling that what Freeza said is probably true.
  • Goku has been using a tenth-power Kaio-Ken, and it has not been enough to beat Freeza.
  • On Earth, the launch of Chichi's spaceship meets with a misfire.
  • Ginyu, using Bulma's body, arrives at the spot where Piccolo, Gohan and Kuririn are watching the battle.
  • They realize that there is something not quite all there about Bulma.
