Pilot Assigned to Evangelion Unit 2


The girl selected by the "Marduk report" as a pilot for Evangelion. She is called "second children." She is one quarter Japanese and German American. Her nationality is of the United States. She speaks Japanese, German, and English fluently, I believe. She came to Japan with Ryohji Kaji, Evangelion unit 2, and the first human being "ADAM" in the 8th episode.

Asuka has been trained as a pilot of Evangelion and graduated from college in Germany. Her pride or self-confidence as a pilot is much stronger than the other two pilots. Her reason for being a pilot is to "show her talent to ordinary people." She is so positiveand active. So, she likes show off her skills.

Because of that, she is always competing with Shinji who has been assigned with the Evangelion unit 1. She doesn't like guys, so she is always saying, "Guys are stupid and disgusting!"

However, she likes Kaji. Lately, she also seems to have started liking Shinji. But she hit him when she first met him.

Usually people don't kiss even though they were bored. God, I can't believe it. Kaji and Misato are in good mood, too.... I feel sorry for her.

Shinji, Tohji, and Kensuke hate having to deal with her, but she transferred to their school. She became friends with the class committee girl named Hikari, and then became even more of a nuisance....


When she is awake, she puts up a strong front, but she dreams about her mother. She seems to miss her mother a lot. It's still unclear, but this might related to the Second Impact.
