Test type(EVA-01)

The test type which was built before the Evangelion series went into mass production. The purpose of this test type was to gather various operation data in actual fighting.

Therefore, this type has been equipped with exclusive weapons to prepare for actual fighting. Also, its compatibility with Shinji seems to be extremely good, so the synchronization rate was over 40% in the first battle, and though in the berserk mode, exterminated the 3rd angel.

In order to endure various severe tests, EVA-01 has a robust design. A large proportion of resources were spent on the creation of Evangelion unit 1, even more than the other units.
