Touji first hit Shinji two times due to the injuries his sister suffered
when Shinji was fighting off the Angels. Later he became friends with Shinji
when he saw Shinji cry in EVA-01 when Shinji saved them. Touji became pilot
of EVA-03, which was invaded on the left arm by an Angel, thus marked EVA-03
as an Angel, which EVA-01 destroyed with the dummy unit pilotting it instead
of Shinji in it, over the protest of the pilot on killing another child like him,
and Touji was severely injured, but alive at the aftermath. Ending diagnosis
is one leg and arm amputated.
