Prince Dimand is the ruler of the Dark Moon, and was being used as a pawn by the Wiseman in his quest to destroy Crystal Tokyo. Prince Dimand was in love with Neo-Queen Serenity (aka Sailor Moon) of the future and failed to get her to join him and be his Queen. When Sailor Moon appeared in the future he captured her and made another attempt to get her to be his queen, which failed. When the Wiseman released a blast of nega-energy to kill Sailor Moon, Dimand stepped in front of the blast to save her. He then died in her arms.
