I agree totally. Though my Japanese comprehension comes from the
little schooling I've had(1 year), my main set of vocabulary, etc. comes
from me watching anime and playing games. So I had little problem with
the interaction part of the game but a heckuva a time with the storyline,
military lingo, and you know... stuff you don't see very often.
However, with the religious parallels in ST, I found it more
profound than ST2's storyline. Not that ST2's story was bad, but I'm not
sure Sega/Red knew it would be so popular so they designed ST to have THE
storyline they wanted.

Interesting insight. I hadn't thought about it that way. I guess
ST2 would have a little better chance of being well received esp. since
technically(except load time) it is so much better than Sakura Taisen. I
think that ST2 had more plot twists as a whole, but the overall premise of
the bad guys was basically "there's a bad guy, you have to kill 'em". Not
only that but I think that a Sakura Taisen 3 would be just the same in
that respect. Not that the ideas are exhausted but how many set of bad
guys can the same group of people fight, you know?
As for your Baragumi comment, yeah... that would be the main
reason why it wouldn't come/do well here.

Oh yuck! I personally can't stand the girl. I mean, she's funny
sometimes, and her attacks and songs are cute. But when she's all over
Oogami, I just want to slap her...

When I was romanizing the song titles, I initially wrote "Itoshi
Jean Paul". When I looked at V-Idols track listing, it said "Aishi no
Jean Paul". I thought about it and it made sense to me. "Itoshii" means
"Dear/beloved", right? But "Itoshi" as far as I know isn't a word... thus
I changed my website info to reflect this...

Shower scene was absolutely hilarious! Especially afterwards when
she keeps saying "Oogami no ECCHI!!!" And Sumire and the others ask you
about it and you keep shrugging it off saying "Betsu ni.." or
"Nandemo nai.." It kept me laughing for quite a long time. I think I saw
the bath scene but I didn't stick around to see what happens...
