I say, screw the romanizations and just do the romaji(w/ a macron over the
"o" or roomaji). The romaji for Kouran is "Ri Kouran". The romaji for
Sakura is "Shinguuji Sakura". Romanization is just what you assume the
romaji would be in a particular language. For instance, right now there's
a battle going on on the anime newsgroup whether NAAGAA should be "Naga"
or "Nahga". The former is a reference to Greek mythology and the latter
refers to Hindu mythology.
