One question: Why in the world would Nintendo let one of their own products
link up with a rival's product? It's either not true...or a very stupid
thing on their part. Unless Sega owns part of Red (and ST too), there is no
way Nintendo would do something like this. Nintendo is much too cut-throat
and ruthless. And any businessperson knows not to do something has idiotic
as this. It's just good business practice not to let your competitor have
an advantage, etc.
So in my opinion, the link up is a complete and utter rumor, mostly
generated by the Sega president or whoever (I don't remember his name), upon
hearing that Red was making ST for the Gameboy. He declared that the
Gameboy MUST link with the DC...and I believe people have just been building
on this statement.
I'll believe it when I see it...but I doubt it will happen. And I'm
perfectly prepared to buy a GBC if it happens...hopefully it'll be the same
game as the Wonderswan version. I'm leery of buying it, since I don't see
it as a viable platform as of yet. Oh well, who knows.
