Yeah, i saw those two as well!!! > Kanna-san spotted me Saturday morning (as Sakura, surprise > surprise) and stopped me for a picture. Sakura huh? I saw two Sakura's at the con. I saw a caucasian Sakura Friday night at the karaoke contest and an asian Sakura at Tokyopop's booth on Sunday around 11-12. > Actually, I'm surprised I haven't really seen any other discussion of AX > here yet. Was anyone else there at all? If so, what'd you think of it? There was one person I met on #sakurataisen who was at AX(who's name escapes me at the moment...) but he said he was working at the Nichibei Anime Club booth. But as for my thoughts of AX... I loved it. Despite the horrible lines, despite the questionable security, despite the terrible organization, it was a very memorable and enjoyable first anime con for me. Hearing Kanno Yoko's piano recital(and panel) brings tears to my eyes even now. *sniff* I'm working on a AX Memories webpage if anyone's interested, but first I gotta find a way to scan my pics. What were your thoughts, Jennifer? > Incidentally, while there I found an American magazine featuring Sakura > Taisen on the cover. The article inside was apparently written by our very > own Ming. I was wondering if he talked about it at all on this list? > Sorry if this is redundant for older list members. Really? What magazine is this? I haven't seen Sakura Taisen get any exposure in the US(aside from maybe a 1 pg article on ST 2 in Mixxine a while back) But yeah, I should have posted about AX before going. It woulda been cool to meet some of you MLers. -Terrence
