Otaru is the average man of Japoness. He lives in a crappy apartment, is in and out of jobs, and is the basic teenager. That is until he awakens Lime, Cherry, and finally Bloodberry. His life now completely changes, and he soon becomes the hope of Japoness in defeating the evil Faust of Gartland. |

Ieyasu is a good emperor, and a good man. He is a direct clone of the first Ieyasu, who survived along with 5 other men on the ship, Mesopotamia. (He's the 15th clone?) Although not too much is known about him until the later episodes, it seems that a younger Ieyasu (who looks a lot like Otaru) was in love with the mysterious woman Lorelei. in one of the episodes he ends up dying. This causes Lorelei much distress. |

This is Otaru's sword master. He teaches Otaru to fight, as well as other life lessons. The master has been helping Otaru since he was very young, and being bullied at school. He will often show up at the last minute to help Otaru. |

Baiko and Tamasburo guard Japoness from danger. They are saber models, but unlike Otaru's marionettes, they do not contain "maiden circuits" which give them emotions. However, they seem to act with a real heart, when guarding their emperor and country. |

Not much is known about the last female, Lorelei. She was a child prodigy, a doctor, traveling on the Mesopotamia. It is believed that she died in the explosion. Lorelei is the secret to the "maiden circuits", Lime, Cherry and Bloodberry each found a likeness to her in the painting in the Japoness Pioneer Museum. Although that portrait is later destroyed in a fire, Faust seems to have a copy of his own.... In the second series she is one of the main charecters. She tries to kill herself being saved at the last mintue by Otaru and the girls. If you see that part you can tell that Otaru and her have feelings for each other. |
