Justice, 582kb

11.  Justice  represents balance. Signifies cause and effect.  Reversed, it represents prejudice and inequality, lack of responsibility.
Karen, one of the Dragons of Heaven, works in a soapland in Tokyo. (A soapland is sort of an organized brothel. Businessmen pay for women to give them baths and um, other things.) She's very good with fire. (According to the character files on Rabi's X Page, her name means "fire of purgatory.")
The Hanged Man, 137 kb

"However far away, I will always love you"
-- The Cure

12. The Hanged Man represents spiritual growth and acceptance. The immediate implication of the Hanged Man is that it would be a negative card, but the picture shows the opposite. Instead of someone suffering, we see someone willingly accepting a difficult situation and growing from it. Also, this card may indicate someone with clairvoyance.
Suburu is a character from Clamp's earlier series Tokyo Babylon. He's an omnyouji, a spirit medium, one of the most powerful in Japan despite his young age. He's rather shy and naive, as opposed to his psychotically cheerful twin sister Hokuto. They're both very strange dressers. Both are attracted to Seishiro, the local veterinarian. For Suburu, Seishiro is the person he loves most.  (Spoiler Alert: Highlight the following blank space to read, but don't say i didn't warn you)
At the end of Tokyo Babylon, Hokuto is murdered by Sakurazuka Seishiro, so by the time of X, Suburu's love for  Seishiro has changed to a desire for revenge.( /End Spoiler)
By X, Suburu has gotten older, but is still haunted by the events concluding Tokyo Babylon. Subaru is a Dragon of Heaven and due to similar experiences, becomes a close friend of Kamui's.

Death, 597kb

"Because I could not stop for Death, He kindly stopped for me."
                -- Emily Dickinson

 13. Death represents change and renewal. It doesn't signify a literal death so much as a symbolic one, that of transformation.
Seishiro  is the other character from Tokyo Babylon. Not just  the friendly neigborhood veteranarian, he's secretly the descendant of a family of assassins. In X, he seems very cold and emotionless, but from what i've seen of Tokyo Babylon, he was (at that point, anyway) capable of appearing very cheerful and loving. If you notice in the above picture, Seishiro has a glass eye, which is the result of protecting Suburu from a knife-wielding madwoman.

Also, the book,  Mastering the Tarot by Eden Gray was a valuable resource in interpreting the cards on this page. Among the books i have on the Tarot, i've found this to be the most helpful and coherently well-written. If you would like to buy this book, you can purchase it from Amazon via my bookstore.
