the Lovers 301kb
"One is very crazy when in love"
--Sigmund Freud

6. The Lovers represent harmony and temptation. Reversed, it represents infidelity and conflict.
Kotori is the childhood friend of Kamui, one whom he obviously has a close affection for. She has a weak heart condition due to a traumatic childhood.

the Chariot 337kb
"I had thought that danger was the safest thing in the world, if you go about it right."
-- Annie Dillard

7. The Chariot represents triumph and responsibility. Reversed, it represents uncontrolled passion.
Sorata is one of the few Dragons of Heaven with a sense of humor. Raised by monks who foresaw his destiny,  he has been told that he will lose his life protecting the woman he loves. Sora wants to responsibly protect his friend Kamui. He also wants to continually hit on Arashi (so far, unsuccessfully.)

Strength 339kb

8. Strength represents the triumph of love over hate. Reversed, it represents the emphasis of material over spiritual nature. Strength is traditionally portrayed as a woman taming a dog.
Yuzuriha is a very cheerful 14 year old girl raised in a shrine. (Practically everyone in X has lived in a temple.) She is seen here with her spirit guide, Inuki. Only those who have mystical power  can see him. She is also a Dragon of Heaven. The scene where Yuzuriha makes fun of Kamui's height is the best scene in the series.

the Hermit 355kb
"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic"
                                        -- Arthur C. Clarke

9. The Hermit The Hermit represents wisdom, although in reverse, stands for
immaturity and the inability to learn from one's mistakes.
A Dragon of Earth, Satsuki is a teenage genius/sociopath who is able to relate only to her super computer, named the Beast. Through the Beast, Satsuki is not only able to track any information, but she gets to wreak anarchistic havoc upon the city to her heart's desire.

the Wheel of Fortune 353kb
"The wheel of Fortune turns,
and I am put down while,
someone else is taken up on high.
Exalted gloriously,
a king sits at the top:
let him beware his ruin!"
--Carmina Burana

10. The Wheel of Fortune -- i thought this quote particularly sheds light on this card. The Wheel of Fortune is a conceit that goes back to the Middle Ages; Fortune is constantly turning and carrying men's' destinies, sometimes lifting them to the heights of luck and sometimes crushing men under the Wheel with regard for nothing. So therefore, when the card is upright, it symbolizes good luck and bad luck in reverse.
Kakyou is also a dream seer like Hinoto and Kanoe. In reality, Kakyou is extremely ill and living in a comatose-like state, although he's powerfully psychic and able to enter the dreams of others. A Dragon of Earth, he believes that it's better for Nature retake Earth before it's destroyed beyond repair by overcrowded civilization. If i remember reading correctly, this character is named after Clamp's cat, which explains quite a lot.
