film from arguably the
greatest Japanese animated filmmaker,

Some Facts:
Released in Japan on 12th July '97. It grossed more than $150 million, with more than 13.53 million attendance. It became the No.1 movie of all time in Japan, until surpassed by "Titanic". The film uses 144,000 cels - it is one of the most expensive Japanese animation movies ever made at 2.35 billion yen ($24 million), or twice the cost of Akira. International release will be handled by Disney (Miramax). Official Miramax Princess Mononoke site US release is reported as Oct 29th, 1999. Neil Gaiman (author of The Sandman) adapted the English version! Q: Will the film be dubbed/subbed/cut?
