Nerv is a special United Nations Top Secret organization dedicated to the
discovery, study, counter-attack and subsequent destruction of entities
known as Angels. Most of its activities are classified and "for your
eyes only". The special humanoid fighting machines known as Evangelion
Robots are the central arsenal of this special agency, along with other
high technology weapons that this robots use. The main headquarters of
Nerv is in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It rest below Tokyo-3 in a place 80 meters below
2015's sea level, called Geofront. It has branches in all G-7 countries
plus China and Russia. The supreme commander of all activities of Nerv
is Keel Lorenz, also the head of the powerful international secret 12-man
organization committee known as SEELE. Lorenz is responsible for the funding
and political support for all Nerv activities. He is also the head of the
Human Complement Program aimed at artificially evolving man into the next
evolution phase. All activities of SEELE are classified but rumored to
be based from the Dead Sea Scrolls, the single most important artifact
that predicts the future of mankind in the world of Evangelion. The commander
in chief of all operations of Nerv Headquarters is Gendou
Ikari followed by his executive officer, scientist and former professor
Kozo Fuyutsuki. Followed by the chief strategist
and brilliant tactician Misato Katsuragi.
While the head of all scientific work and planner of the E-project is Dr.
Ritsuko Akagi. The E-project is what brought to reality the special
humanoid robots known as Eva-00 to Eva-13.
NERV CHRONOLOGY
| 1999 | Professor Fuyutsuki first met Yui Ikari when he was an associate professor of Kyoto (presumed) University under bio-metaphysical research. This was also the first time he first met the lover of Yui Ikari, Gendou Rokubungi, bailing him out of jail after a brawl. |
| 2000 | September 13, 2000. Second Impact occured at the South Pole, when Adam exploded, melting all the ice and rising water by 80 meters. The second impact was caused by reducing adam into an egg, to reduce the damage that will occur when the Angels come as predicted and written in the DEAD SEA SCROLLS. The worldwide catastrophe tilted the axis of the planet and forever made all weather climates, warm and moist. Japan lost its four seasons and summer continued all year round. Half of the world's population was killed in famines and civil and international wars that followed. Kaworu Nagisa was also born on the same day. |
| 2001 | June 6, 2001 Shinji Ikari was born while December 4, 2001 Asuka Langley was born |
| 2002 | Professor Fuyutsuki met Gendou Ikari in the south pole while investigating
the cause of the second impact. Gendou informed Fuyutsuki that he and Yui
got married and has a son. The Strong United Nations declared the second impact as the result of an asteroid hitting the south pole. |
| 2003 | Construction of Geofront began. Professor Fuyutsuki visited Gendou, now in charge of the UN sanctioned Artificial Evolution Research Facility at Hakone (Future site of Geofront) to demand an explanation when Gendou showed him the real purpose of Seele and asked his help to fight and deceive them, which he agreed. The construction of the Super computer MAGI and the start of the E-project also started. |
| 2004 | Yui Ikari disappeared during an Eva-synchronization test at the under-ground
second research facility at Hakone Preparations for the Human Complement Program started. |
| 2005 | Misato Katsuragi and Ritsuko Akagi first met at Tokyo-2 University
at Tokyo-2, Nagano Prefecture in the student cafeteria. Misato also met Ryohji Kaji and started living together. |
| 2007 | The headquarters of the Powerful United Nations was transferred from New York, United States to Tokyo-2, Japan |
| 2008 | Construction and networking of the first artifial intelligence Super
computer MAGI was completed by Dr. Naoko Akagi. Ritsuko Akagi, daughter of Dr. Akagi, was assigned to the E-project. |
| 2009 | Misato Katsuragi was assigned to the facility |
| 2010 | Super computer MAGI went online. Rei-1 was killed. Dr. Naoko Akagi suicide. Nerv was officially inaugurated and become officially part of the United Nations. |
| 2015 | The 3rd Angel attacked Tokyo-3, and the fight to eliminate the incoming Angels begun and to prevent the occurence of the third impact. |
| 2016 | Human Complement Program was completed |
