As per instructions I have compiled this quick overview of the MA-04XB's armament and capabilities for Admiral's approval. If you need me to put them into another format, I will be glad to. ---------------------------- Zakrello Beta (MA-04Y) Length: 30 m, (56 m with arms extended) Full Weight: 200 t Power plant: 17,000 kw Thruster rating: 140,000 kg Sensor Range: 120,000 m Weapons: 1 – Mega-Particle cannon 20 mw 2 – Manipulator claws 6 – Beam cannons, 2 mw After the embarrassing incident between the Zakrello and the Gundam, Zeonics designers scurried back to their drawing boards. The original project leader was shot for his Mobile Armor’s failure and the lead designer from the Hygog project took over. Char Aznable collected a large amount of data from the battle. The team designed a new, improved version of the Mobile Armor based on that data. Little remains of the original Zakrello design. The Mobile Armor became a concept model for base assaults and capital ship attack. The hull is elongated to cover a new, bigger power plant and additional fuel. On the front of the hull the team added nearly 6 meters of Lunar Titanium armor plating. The additional armor gives it a shark like appearance. The team decided to add fins to the hull, primarily to enhance the appearance. The pilot no longer sits between the eyes. The ejectable cockpit is now just forward of the top fin. A single over-sized engine replaced the pitiful rear thrusters on the main hull. The engine can rotate through a full 30 degrees of arc. Two smaller version of the main engine replaced the under-powered verniers. The vernier rockets can move through nearly 50 degrees of arc. These changes improved the maneuverability of the Zakrello dramatically. Taking a cue from the Hygog project, two 3-clawed tentacles replaced the original scythe arms. The manipulator units have three beam cannons each. The rocket launchers became unnecessary when the upgraded arms were installed. The Zakrello uses the arms in two ways. First they are the primary defense against Mobile Suits and Fighters. The arms give the beam cannons nearly 360 degrees of coverage. Second, they act as anchors. The Zakrello moves to close range of a base, grabs on, and fires it’s mega-particle cannon. The upgraded nose armor deflects most of the heat and debris that the gun generates. Three Zaku II Mobile Suits act as escorts to protect the mobile armor from attack. The Mega-particle cannon is the same in most respects. The gun now can be retracted into the hull of the Mobile Armor by a “jaw” like door on the underside. This protects the gun from direct assault until it is ready to be used on a base or ship. The pilot can choose between two different firing modes. Tunneling mode is designed to concentrate the beam on a narrow spot for maximum effect. Spray mode is most useful against large capital ships, or groups of Mobile suits. The Spray covers a spherical arc of about 35 degrees. Unfortunately, the Zakrello Beta never made it off the drawing boards. Zeonics cancelled the project in favor of the Bigro Mobile Armor (MA-05).

Hell-Harro Or The Mother of All Harros Harro watched Amuro Rey humiliatingly defeat the comical Zakrello in the Gundam RX78. His small memory banks burned with the knowledge that he too was a laughing stock. Amuro had created him as an amusing toy, then abandoned him like a wadded up gum wrapper. Seeing Amuro dispatch a fellow humorous robot with the same disregard caused a change in Harro’s programming. “I’ll show them! I’ll show them ALL! I’m as mad as Heck (1) and I won’t take it anymore!” Harro snuck out of White Base that night. He was able to do this by drugging the three annoying children that constantly dogged his every movement. Using a small rocket pack, Harro gained entry into the scorched shell of the Zakrello. As wild stroke of luck, the computers of the Mobile Armor still contained many of the passwords and access codes used by the Zeons. Harro knew what he could do know! He quickly returned to the White Base. Once there he used Noah Bright’s command codes and Zeon access codes to send messages all across the system. Harro ordered the recovery of the Zakrello, and used Zeonic’s accounts to pay for its restoration. He redesigned the Mobile Armor into the most terrifying form that he could compute. (2) He christened the new weapon: “The Mother of all Harros”. It would be a mobile factory, able create 20-30 new Harros a week. The Factory had to have raw materials, and Harro planned to get his by attacking ships and Mobile Suits, and using them to create his evil horde of robots. As Harro stepped back from the communications console, the most annoying child woke from her drugged stupor. She looked at him and smiled. Harro smiled to himself (3). “Yes, they will ALL pay!” he thought. But he said “Harro!” Footnotes: (1) Amuro never programmed Harro to speak vulgar language. (2) Unfortunately, Amuro only programmed Harro with one installed image that of Harro himself. (3) Harro doesn’t have lips, or much of a mouth, so he couldn’t smile outwardly.

MSX-33 Zakurello Mk III Prototype After the defection of Professor Tyche Rhaia to the Zeon Rogue Fleet, Zeonic Company engineers, searching for a way to neutralize the Imperium's advanced strike units, developed the Zakurello Mk III. Using stolen Imperial technology provided by the traitor Konrad Veight, this mobile armour is substantially improved from the original. Equipped with a more powerful plasma scattering beam, and mounting heavy anti-matter rockets, the unit is fearsome in close combat and provides crippling firepower. The two spheres mounted on the unit's back are efficient multi-vector vernian arrays, allowing the unit to change direction rapidly. With heavier armaments and improved maneuverability, the unit is one of the deadliest produced by the Zeonic company. Only one prototype unit was produced, however, and this was destroyed by Shah Asnavel's King Gundam during the rescue of Rachael Zeon from the asteroid fortress of Seleor Island.

The Zakrello Mk-II was designed by the scientists of the Delaz Fleet as one of its first projects, as an early evaluation of the fleet's remaining resources and mobile armor design technology. The original Zakrello was significantly modified and redesigned, to take advantage of some experimental systems that the Delaz Fleet managed to salvage from the A Bao A Qu fortress, as well as to remove or upgrade other systems that could be changed. The massive generator that was integral to the Zakrello design was the one major component of the MA that was retained in the upgraded design. It, and the beam scatter gun that was its primary weapon, were left basically unchanged. Thruster verniers were added to the machine at strategic places, giving the upgrade a significant improvement in maneuverability, even thought he speed of the design remained basically unchanged. However, the avionics and electronics packages were mostly replaced. The sensor package from a salvaged MS-17 Gelgoog was integrated into the forward superstructure of the machine. This gave the MA the distinctive "mono-eye" common to other Zeon designs, as well as covering a sensor arc not easily accounted for by the original's stereoscopic sensor arrangement. These modifications were largely responsible for the Zakrello's more streamlined appearance. The major innovation in the Zakrello Mk-II is the mounting of the machine's re-designed heat-sickles on rocket pods, and tehered to the arms of the MA by twenty meter cables. It was observed early on that the Zakrello could not easily use its claws effectively at close range. With the sickes now mounted on steerable pods, the range had effectively been tripled and its versitality also used. This same design would also be adopted for use in some Axis MA designs. Aside from these and other minor cosmetic enhancements, the Zakrello Mk-II isn't changed too much from its 0079 specs. While its combat effectivness on paper have improved tremendously, and in trials the machine has proved to be easily superior to the Zaku or Dom MS in maneuverability and firepower, it still remains to be seen if the new MA can be truly effective against the Federation MS. Admiral Delaz will soon send the Zakrello Mk-II into raids on Federation installations, and will be watching very closely...
