What influences me in the Japanese they use and an understanding
of the culture. Something that would be lost in a translation. It'd be
very hard to reproduce the "intention" IMHO of many characters
which I believe cannot be ascertained just through tone of voice. I
thought Iris' voice was annoying at first and was feeling pressure
from friends (actually one) who made jokes about me being
SUKEBE. But when I understood that is the way Iris' is supposed to
be, an immature young 9-12 year old, it made me appreciate her
character all the more.

I first saw the difference in ST2.
