Subject: My theory on the Sa-tan/Yamazaki Controversy

Hi! Omar here again! I just came up with an interesting topic to discuss with you folks. You all probably already know that Aoi Satan is really *SPOILER ALERT* Shinnosuke Yamazaki, the inventer of the Soul Child Armor. This is hinted at many times in the last few episodes of Sakura Wars 1, but it's not until Episode 1 of Sakura Wars 2 that they tell us outright. Like me, many have also wondered why Ayame or Yoneda didn't recognize Satan as Yamazaki until the first battle of Sakura Wars 2. Well, I have my own theory that may solve this mystery. Think back to Sailor Moon. When Serena/Usagi transforms into Sailor Moon, her clothes change, but her facial and bodily appearance stays the same. However, no one recognizes her, even if she's standing face to face with someone she knows. Almost all Sailor Moon fans(including myself) believe that this is because of an invisible magical aura that surrounds her as Sailor Moon and keeps her from being recognized. My theory is this : I believe a similar quality is present in Sa-tan. When Yamazaki first merged with Lucifer to become Aoi Sa-tan, he was infused with an aura similar to Sailor Moon's, but with evil, demonic energy. This is why nobody recognized him in Sakura Wars 1. When Sa-tan was defeated at the end of Sakura Wars 1 and resurrected by Oni-Oh at the beginning of Sakura Wars 2, he lost this aura, along with almost all of his powers. (which would explain why he's so easy to defeat in the first battle) When Yoneda got a good look at Sa-tan without the aura, he immediately recognized him as Yamazaki. Anyway, that's my theory. Let me know what you think. Omar Lilas "One who chases two rabbits won't even catch one." - Ayame Fujieda "Sounds like something out of a fortune cookie" - me
